Last week we were at Laurier for our son Andrew's graduation.
When his friends asked him if he wanted to get together before hand for some pictures... I don't think they were expecting me. I'm grateful they were nice enough to give me a few minutes to shoot some pictures of them. I'm going to be mailing out their disks this week.
Thanks again everybody.
Free Grad PhotosOnce again this year I am looking for 1 student or group of students from each high school or university/college in 3 areas to give away free Graduation Photography.
If You Are In:
- The GTA
- Oxford County
... I will be holding a spring Graduation Photography Day in your neighbourhood and you could get your graduation photography done for free.
1 Student or Group of Students from each school will receive up to 2 hours of professional photography. Celebrate the close of your high school or college/university career with some great portraits.
Who really wants a picture of you turned sideways with your head at an impossible angle??
Instead you could have some shots of you doing the stuff you love. Take some pictures that show the real you. Come and see what I mean: http://subtlevoxphotography.com/blog/category/senior-portraits/
Contact me if you are interested in representing your school this year.

I like to shoot people doing the things they love. Spencer loves camp - he's making the "I take this job seriously face" but he's one of the best counsellors ever.
[Disclosure: Spencer is our son... but he's still one of the best. I guess growing up at camp has had a good effect!]
I had an amazing afternoon on Monday shooting a Party of Five session with our friend Kristin. Kristin used to work for us at camp where we all called her Mazurka, a camp name she earned because it is a style of Polish folk music and Kristin was taking Music at the University of Western Ontario.
Monday was Kristin's graduation and she and a group of four friends hired me to come and take pictures of them on their last day of university.
Congratulations to all of you and thanks for a fun afternoon!
Dave had to leave early so the last few shots were of just the women.
What a great day to take pictures! My second shoot on Sunday was for grad photos - what Americans call Senior Portraits. What I call a Party of X.
Winners of a Subtlevox Portrait Session
I've known Andrea (2nd from the left) for most of her life. She was a camper of ours and now is about to become a second year counsellor at CAIRN in Baysville. She was one of the lucky winners of a free graduation portrait session. You can see the presentation that these young women put together to win these pictures [click here].
Andrea (... but we call her Squire):
I had an awesome Party of X (in this case Five) on Saturday afternoon. Big thanks to Chantal who organized the session and who did such a great job of pumping it up to her friends.
Thanks for a great day everybody!
I'm working on a series of pictures of weird golf. Here's a couple of my favourites from a couple of weeks ago.
