Roll of the Sea - The Sailboat and the Sea (LIVE) at Maxwells, Waterloo

Sailboat and the Sea was in the finals of the Kitchener Music Festival Battle of the Bands.  It was a great pleasure to see them perform again.

I know I'm biased - our son Spencer is playing the guitar and Meghan and Matt have been friends of his and staff members of our for so long they are practically family - but they are getting better and better all of the time.

Lynn - Head Shot

We set up the sunroom studio the other day to shoot some head shots for Lynn.  We got some great pictures within just a couple of minutes and then went looking for another background.

On days like that I thank Vern and Shirley (previous owners of our house) for planting the giant green cedar hedge.  I love to shoot against it (...tries to find link to his own head shots... but can't) because it has brilliant colour and texture.

Heather and Alex's Ancaster & Burlington Village Square Wedding

This beautiful Ancaster wedding took place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on a brilliant summer day. Heather and Alex, and their guests, enjoyed a perfect wedding ceremony and then we (the wedding party and Beth and I) took off for some photos in the Burlington Village Square.

The Village Square is a great spot for photos but it can be busy on a Saturday - make sure you get a permit to shoot there.   We loved making use of the old brick, cool doorways and metal staircase for the shoot.

The reception took place at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum out at the Hamilton Airport.   I must say, it is the COOLEST place for a reception that we have ever been to!  It had a lot of meaning for Heather - both of her grandfathers were mechanics in World War II and they were at the dinner.

Vanessa & Scott at Cairn: Muskoka Wedding Photographer
